Indian Institute of Technology i.e. IIT has published the notification for the all indian engineering exam for IIT JEE 2012. From this time onwards all the candidates were given option to apply either online or offline mode.
Under Offline mode of payment the system is same as it eas earlier i.e. buy the form from the said counter fill it manually and send it to respected IIT of the zone. Where as under online mode every thing need to be done online itself.
I have seen a lot of problem are faced by number of candidates while applying online. I have provided the step by step procedure to apply the IIT JEE online application error free.
Step By Step Procedure to Apply Online for IIT JEE
Before apply online for IIT JEE 2012 the following things will be required : Email Account, Bank Account , Debit or Credit Card or Bank Challans, Browsers preferably IE
Online Fee for SC/ST/PD/Female candidates is Rs.450 and Rs.900 for all other candidates via Bank challan or NEFT Payment Online. For Offline the Fees are Rs 1800 and Rs 1000 respectively where as female candidates need to pay the fees of rs 200 only.

Documents required for Application of IIT JEE
- An attested copy of SSLC (10th standard) certificate for age proof.
- Latest passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) color photograph
- A thick A4 size (21 cm x 29.7 cm) cloth cover
- Attested copy of category certificate for SC/ST applicants.
1. Login to IIT Jee Online Application Mode Here
2. Follow the details there and fill all the information required
3. Go to the Payment Page and choose the option of Payment whether Bank Challan or NEFT. Challan payments can be done in three different banks. Candidate can opt a bank as per his own convenience. Each bank charges different amount of commission for accepting a challan. Once selected, this option can not be changed later on.
4. Take a printout of filled application and send it along with the asked documents to respected zones. For Offline candidates may submit the form to same bank from where they have bought the form for IIT JEE 2012.
Note : Always remember that No acknowledgement will be given for applications. you can verify your application status by logging-in with your Email user- ID and Password almost after seven days.
