Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the results of Typing Test for The Bi-Monthly Typewriting Test, (March, 2011) which was held at Delhi centre. Test was little tough for the candidates and Out of 106 candidates who appeared in the said Typewriting Test at Delhi Centre, only 15 candidates have qualified in the said test and 11 candidates are deemed to have made a genuine attempt.
After seeing such a level of test I came to the solution that it will also be tougher for the successful candidates of LDC & DEO. If you guys have not started the practice of Typing test for LDC and DEO exam then start practicing for that.
Requirement of Typing Test
The ‘Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on Computer’ the correct entry of all the key depressions in computer will be 15 (Fifteen) minutes and printed passage of running text matter in English containing about 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the Computer.
The “Data Entry Speed” Skill Test would be of qualifying nature. Candidates allowed to take this test, will have to qualify the test at the prescribed speed on Computer
- English Typing @ 35 w.p.m within the time frame of 10 minutes (30 minutes for VH candidates)
Hindi Typing @ 30 w.p.m. within 10 minutes (30 minutes for VH candidates)
It is said that the 35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. corresponds to 10500 Key Depressions Per Hour/9000 Key Depressions Per Hour on an average of 5 key depressions for each word will be considered.
I request all the candidates who appeared for the of Typing test to share their experience, this will help other aspirant to crack the typing test.

i also clear written test but typing is not a easy task . you have practice on typing software . you can download from internet. and you require a lot of online typing test .thats show impovement of your typing speed.
about 4and 5 hours is dialy require for clearing this test .

i want to know that how much big passage to given a candidate for type test for 35 wpm
Type test is a tough work for those student who take it light. It is a part of exam and demand same concern as written exam. I attained UDC typing test in 2011.
Hi,Sanjeev,This is SUMAN from Belghoria.I have cleared the written exam of the combined Higher secondary level exam.
Now,I want to know that during the typing test,is the passage that is to be typed by the candidate,is it to be typed using the MS-WORD??Please inform me about it because I have no idea about it.
