Until now, this was manual and users has to visit the RTO office for transferring the ownership of the vehicle in case of sale or death. Process to Add Nominee in RC Book Online
Key Highlights :
- Only owners who have their registered mobile numbers can nominate a person.
- Visit the Website of Vahan Registration vahan.parivahan.gov.in
- Login with the details of vehicle or Mobile number
- The OTP will be sent to the registered number
- Select the tab ‘Services’,
- Choose tab ‘Additional Services’ and click on the option ‘Add Nominee’.
- Enter the details of the vehicle like Engine and Chassis numbers, registration date and the registration validity.
- Enter Nominee’s name and the relationship.
- You will receive a confirmation through SMS
- There are no charges for adding Nominee.
