Today was big day for many of career Jobs aspirants who were willing to Join and worked for government jobs through Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Those who qualified for Tier – I of Combined Graduate Level Exam are qualified for Tier – II exam.
All those who pass the Main exam of SSC will go for Interview and Final round of Exam.
I spoke to many of candidates who appeared for SSC Combined Graduate Level Tier – II, Almost all of them were very nervous about the expected cutoff of Main exam. Syllabus of both the Paper i.e. Math and English were changed completely. All those candidates who were purely depended on Guides and previous year patterns find themselves at lower foot.
Cutoff will naturally low compared to previous year. Expected cutoff for Math will something around 55 to 60 and in English it will be around 140+. Anyone who is able to score total of 180+ will qualify the exam.

sir, this expected cut off i.e 280-300(tier1 +tier2) is for higher posts like excise inpector or for overall posts?? Wat will b the cut off for excise inspector type posts?? Im from genral category and score abt 88 in tier 1 and will score abt 200 in tier 2. Wat r my chances??
sorry sohail bt i guess u dnt have very high chances …the final cut off for inst n asst will nt b blow 370-80 i guess!
last yr cutoff for pre was 114 and now it falls to 86.75 it means it fall 14 percent/ if we deduct 14% of 424 it comes to365 if we deduct 10% for lengthy and change of syllabus it comes to 322. in my openion cut off below 322 is not espected.

Jagat, It's not like Share Market trends….You have to take number of candidates in consideration also…
this will not be the cut off. Cut off was 424/600 last year for all inspector/CSS posts and 408 for tax assistant post. this time since paper was a bit different and also negative marking, cut off may come as around 340 out of 600. below 300 is i guess almost impossible to come.
sorrry cut off for tax was 402 & auditor 401.

i think this time cutoff is around 300-320.because of negative marking and the difficulty level of math is very high
It's quite natural, If General cutoff is 280-300 (Paper I + Paper II), OBC would be 240-250
U r guessing a very high cutoff. If the cut off of tier-ii is 280, add 87 (tier-I) then it comes to 367 + 50 approx (interview). Hence cutoff u r guessing 427 while cutoff during cgl-2010 was 402 (Tax Asstt), 431 DA, 497 IT Insp. Standard of Paper I and cutoff of tier-i is suggesting towards a very low cutoff this year. It may not go beyond 280-300 (including tier-I marks). Hope u r justified.

Nops…..Don't think about the Interview marks…..Everyone get the average marks in Interview…..Final selection will go to 280-300 of Tier I+Tier II , depends on ranking…..
