Steps to Apply SBI Debit Card Online and track status of the card dispatch- In case you don’t have a SBI debit card or want a new one, you need to login to bank’s official website – onlinesbi.com using user id and password and under “eServices” tab click on ‘ATM Card Services’, the bank explains. From there, you need to follow instructions. 

Steps to Apply SBI Debit Card Online

  1. Login to the SBI internet banking website – onlinesbi.com.
  2. Look for the tab that reads ‘e-Services’ and click on it.
  3. Select the option titled ‘ATM card services’.
  4. Search for the option that reads – Request ATM/debit card and tap on it. 
  5. The request will have to be authenticated with internet banking credentials and OTP sent to the registered mobile number.

SBI Debit Card Without Internet Banking 

A customer can make electronic payments by just waving the contactless card near the PoS terminal without any need for dipping or swiping the Card on PoS, thereby the Debit card will always be in the customers custody.

Issuance Charges – NIL 

Annual Maintenance Charges – Rs 125/- plus GST

Daily Cash Withdrawal & Transaction Limit 

For SBI Global International Debit Cards the daily withdrawal & transaction limits are : 

Daily Cash Limit at ATMs – Maximum Rs 40,000/- 

Daily Point of Sales/ Online Transaction Limit – Rs 75,000/- 

NOTE: PoS Transaction Limit: Varies from country to country, subject to a maximum of foreign currency equivalent of Rs. 75,000/- Online 

Transaction Limit: Maximum per transaction and per month limit of foreign currency equivalent of Rs. 50,000/-, available only at select international online websites.

1. When will I receive my SBI ATM  Card? 

Normally, SBI issues the ATM or Debit Card within 7 days of accepting the request from the customers through any mode, branch or speed post. This time frame is applicable for Online request or Internet banking request also. 

2. Up to what time SBI Debit Cards are valid ? 

SBI Debit Cards are valid normally for 5 Years or till the date of expiry as mention on the card.

SBI Debit Cards are issued with International transactions disabled along with PoS & ecommerce for domestic also.  Follow the below steps to activate the PoS, e-Commerce transactions along with managing the International Transactions. 

Some of the facilities are also available through SMS, please refer to the welcome letter sent along with Card. The above facilities can also be availed by giving a written request at any nearest SBI Branch with a service charge.
