How you can identify new Series Rs 500 Notes ?

New Rs 500 series notes are introduced by Reserve Bank of India (RBI), watch out for must-know salient features of new currency and how you can identify it. Old Rs 500 notes are now scrapped by Central Government in India,  what the new Rs 500 note looks like and what its salient features are :

The new Rs 500 currency note will have the signature of new RBI governor Urjit Patel along with  year of printing ‘2016’ and the and Swachh Bharat Logo printed on the reverse of the banknote.

2. Latent image of the denomination numeral
3. Denomination numeral in Devnagari
4. Orientation & relative position of Mahatma Gandhi portrait changed
5. Windowed security thread changes colour changes from green to blue when note is held
6. Guarantee clause, Governor’s signature with promise clause and RBI emblem shifted towards the right.
7. Portrait and electrotype watermarks
8. Number panel with numerals growing from small to big on the top left side and bottom right side
9. Denomination in numerals with Rupee symbol in colour changing ink (green to blue) on bottom right
