Supreme Court Stays Results of SSC CGL 2017 & Senior Secondary Exam

Supreme Court has ordered to stay the results of SSC CGL 2017 along with Senior Secondary exam conducted previous year. The declaration of results of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam, and SSC Combined senior secondary level 2017 exams is stayed till further orders.

Apex court said “it can’t permit people benefiting from SSC examination scam to get into service.”The court also said prima facie the entire SSC recruitment system and examination are tainted. 

Earlier there were large scale protest by students against the alleged paper leak of SSC CGL exams 2017, due to this mass scale protest, government had ordered a CBI probe into the alleged paper leak.

The government ordered probe after the SSC recommended an inquiry by the CBI into the allegations of leak of questions of the Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination 2017.

The first level of the examination had taken place in August last year and the second level had taken place between February 17 and February 22 this year.
